Halloween is CREEPing ever closer, so we are here with another sweet, yummy Halloween party snack, this time using our unbleached tulip liners to make some delectable chocolate dirt cupcakes that are so delicious they’ll raise the dead!
For this recipe, you’ll need:
Egg - 1
Canola oil - ⅔ cup
Buttermilk - 1 cup
Flour - 2 cups
Cocoa - ½ cup
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Baking soda - 1 tablespoonSugar - 1 ⅓ cups
Hot coffee - 1 cup
Oreos - 1 pack
Chocolate Icing - 1 container
Gummy worms - 1 bag
Start by mixing the egg, oil and buttermilk into a large bowl until fully mixed. In a separate bowl, mix your flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda and salt. Once both bowls are mixed thoroughly, slowly mix your dry bowl into your egg, oil, and buttermilk mixture.
After you’ve fully mixed the 2 bowls together, steadily mix your hot coffee in and stir until completely blended.
Line your cupcake tin with your Zenlogy Tulip Liners and lightly spray them with cooking spray. Fill your tulip liners ⅔ of the way with your mixture and bake for 15 - 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
As your cupcakes are baking, grab your Oreos, drop them into a bowl and start crushing! I got a small pack of Oreos at the Dollar Tree and it was just enough to cover my dozen cupcakes. The backside of a spoon will work wonderfully to crush the Oreos into a dirt consistency.
Pull your cupcakes out of the oven when they are done, cover them with chocolate icing and pour a bit of your crushed Oreos and one gummy worm on top.
Add a small tombstone to each cupcake for theming (optional) and voila! Your cupcakes are ready to be shared.
